Notes steps are planned and not yet available. The description below reflects the intended design.
A Notes step would let you place human-readable context directly on the journey canvas — next to the steps it relates to. Think of it as inline documentation that travels with the journey: a description of what the next step is doing, a reminder about a tricky edge case, a link to a relevant ticket or spec.

Intended idea

Notes wouldn’t execute anything at run time. They’d be skipped during execution and exist purely to help the people reading and maintaining the journey understand what’s going on and why. Some likely uses:
  • Explaining the purpose of a multi-step sequence before it starts
  • Calling out known quirks or required preconditions
  • Providing context for Runbook operators who aren’t familiar with the API
